David Harewood

David Harewood in the role of the Pentecostal minister 'Abe.' He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and is best known for his roles as ‘David Estes’ in the Showtime series Homeland and Captain Poison in Blood Diamond. David recently played Oberon in Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night's Dream, shot writer/director David Milch’s HBO pilot, “The Money”, and plays in the new CBS series Supergirl

Edwina Findley

Edwina Findley portrays 'Melva', who struggles to keep her family together against impossible odds. Edwina, best known for her roles in the David Simon/HBO series The Wire and Treme also played the fiery role of ‘Rosie’ in Ava DuVernay’s Sundance Award-winning film Middle of Nowhere and recently starred in Get Hard opposite Kevin Hart Will Ferrell.

 

Jake Mahaffy, Writer/Director

Jake Mahaffy is a teacher currently working at the University of Auckland, NZ. His self-produced, micro-budget shorts and features were made single-handedly, featuring untrained actors in rural settings. Wellness, Miracle Boy, War and other films have screened in international venues such as Sundance, Venice, and SXSW (Grand Jury Prize). 

 

Over the past 10 years Mike Bowes has split his time between producing independent features (the omnibus Far From Afghanistan by John Gianvito, Jon Jost, Minda Martin, Soon-Mi Yoo and Travis Wilkerson, The Greens Are Gone, Alex Karpovsky's Red Flag and Rubberneck) and primetime PBS series such as The American Experience, Frontline, and American Masters. Mike has produced multiple award-winning and critically praised films that have screened at Toronto, Locarno, The Viennale, Tribeca, IFFBoston and the Hamptons International Film Festival.

Mike Ryan, Producer

Mike S. Ryan is the bold independent producer responsible for a remarkable amount of ground-breaking art-house films, including Todd Solondz’s Palindromes and Life During Wartime, Bela Tarr’s Turin Horse, Phil Morrison’s Junebug, Kelly Reichardt's Old Joy and Meek's Cutoff, and Rick Alverson's The Comedy.

Brent Stiefel, Producer

Brent Stiefel is the founder and CEO of VOTIV, a music, film and entertainment firm that specializes in independent, boundary pushing arts and ventures. Brent has produced several high profile films with Mike Ryan including the Julia Stiles film Between Us and the Lauren Ambrose film About Sunny. Brent has also helped produce other films such as Obvious Child, The Truth About Emanuel and The Giant Mechanical Man.
